Our primary goal at St.Paul Early Learning Center is for the children to succeed at the next academic level when they have completed the preschool program. We strive to provide an environment that will encourage children to become lifelong learners with positive academic attitudes.

Curriculum

At St. Paul Early Learning Center our objective is to help children to develop curiosity, confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical skills. Our teachers work to help build the foundation that will determine a child’s success in school. During the school day, our teachers will spend time with children asking questions, investigating to find answers, and engaging in meaningful play. This is all part of the learning. Our children at St. Paul have purposeful play-based experiences on topics they are familiar with from their everyday lives.

``A warm and loving environment for your child.”

Based on the Creative Curriculum for Preschool

“Research shows that a whole child approach to education – one where children develop not only math and literacy skills but also the social-emotional, physical, and cognitive skills necessary to communicate, think both critically and creatively, and solve complex problems – is developmentally appropriate and better prepares children for life well beyond their time in a classroom.”

This Uniquely written curriculum with two-year-old children and their caregivers in mind, The Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers & Twos, has research-based, high-quality resources that build off children’s natural curiosity and interests to promote hands-on investigative learning.

At St. Paul Early Learning Center, we hire teachers who care. Teachers who become part of the family. They do more than teach—they nurture every child, paying attention to everyone’s unique needs. Our teachers consistently communicate with parents about their child’s day. Communication includes pictures of fun activities, tasks a child was struggling with but finally accomplished, and written explanations of the unique needs that were met that day.

Our staff and administration work hard to ensure classrooms feel just like home. Safety is our first priority. This begins with keeping our teacher to child ratio at state regulation or below. This helps ensure our teachers can pay attention to details. You can be confident your child is in the best hands. Our staff and administration are informed of the current LA Department of Education guidelines for opening schools. High-touch surfaces are cleaned multiple times throughout the day. Children and teachers wash hands at least every two hours but often times more than that. We screen children at arrival for fever or signs of illness. St. Paul Early Learning Center has an area that can be used to isolate a sick child from the group but never left alone without adult supervision.
